Brunch is my favourite meal, but since I can't do that everyday, I needed to figure out how to do a healthy breakfast that I like eating. I just suck at making breakfast in the morning and I don't really like cereal or stuff like that.
I have been trying this the last two weeks, maybe three, not everyday but trying. and so far it seems to be working like a treat, a weirdly cold morning treat. What I like about this, it requires no thinking for me early in the morning other than, pulling it out of the fridge and grabbing a spoon.
I make overnight oats, there is a lot of recipes on the internet, I only decided to try it after seeing it in a video by
. I have adapted it somewhat and I am enjoying it a lot.
Since I can safely say this is my own version, here is the recipe:
- 150mg of Oats
- teaspoon of cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- cup of milk
- 2 teaspoons of chia seeds
What I do, is I add it all to a clean mason jar, mix really well and the pop it in the fridge overnight till the next morning. I sometimes make salads in the masn jars but salad is a very summer thing for me and I prefer soup in winter... mmm soup.
